What you'll do

Architect, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Go or Java.
Develop robust web SDKs and platform libraries using TypeScript.
Design secure and resilient APIs to enable rapid shipping of geospatial features.
Lead technical initiatives from initial system design through deployment and reliability monitoring.
Optimize backend throughput, reduce API latency, and improve web SDK runtime performance.
Bridge client and backend architectures by coordinating with iOS, Android, and product teams.
Lead architecture design reviews and establish engineering best practices and documentation.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and scaling large-scale applications across the full stack.
Strong proficiency in backend development using Go or Java with a solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
Proven expertise in modern web development using TypeScript, JavaScript, and associated web frameworks.
Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, large-scale system design, and API design principles.
Experience designing and maintaining high-leverage SDKs, platform frameworks, or developer tools (preferred).
Track record of driving large-scale architectural improvements and ensuring 99.99%+ uptime for mission-critical services (preferred).
Familiarity with geospatial technologies, mapping platforms, or handling large-scale spatial data sets (preferred).
