Senior Machine Learning Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop and implement new machine learning and optimization techniques to power global ride pricing.
• Improve the performance of models and algorithms for pricing and promotion targeting.
• Lead the technical direction for pricing algorithms, optimization models, and modeling best practices.
• Apply deep learning, generative AI, and causal modeling to optimize rider pricing.
• Design and evolve rider pricing systems to support new product and algorithm evolutions.
• Own the end-to-end problem by defining the product and technical roadmaps.
• Mentor junior team members by role modeling machine learning best practices.

What we're looking for

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of full-time engineering experience.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience with machine learning and optimization algorithms.
• PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, with 2+ years of full-time engineering experience (preferred).
• Experience solving complex business problems by translating them into machine learning and optimization solutions (preferred).
• Familiarity with large-scale data systems and experience building production-ready algorithmic systems (preferred).
• Strong background in deep learning, generative AI, causal modeling, and reinforcement learning (preferred).
