As a Sr Software Engineer, Applied AI and Test Automation - Camera Software, you will join the Camera Software team to design and implement next-generation validation systems. You will lead the architectural design of production-quality test automation solutions to improve the efficiency of camera software validation across various devices. Your daily work involves building automated validation for capture paths, developing AI-assisted triage systems to de-duplicate test failures, and improving the reliability of existing test suites by eliminating flaky behavior. The role requires expertise in agentic engineering, multimodal vision, robotics, and human-in-the-loop workflows. You will utilize Python, Swift, Objective-C, or C++ to solve complex problems involving image and video processing pipelines. This position focuses on ensuring the quality of camera software by automating testing against physical hardware and instrumented lab environments to ensure high-quality photo and video outputs.

What we're looking for
8+ years of professional software engineering and architecture experience.
2+ years of hands-on experience building and evaluating modern AI/ML and agentic technologies for validation problems.
Proven track record of designing, building, and operating effective software test automation solutions to improve defect detection or release throughput.
Deep knowledge of QA testing methodologies including automated triage, flakiness measurement, and signal-to-noise improvement.
Experience automating or validating software against physical hardware, devices, or instrumented lab environments.
Experience building and operating automated test execution at scale, including CI/CD pipelines and unattended infrastructure.
Strong programming skills in Python, Swift, Objective-C, or C++.
BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
