Senior Software Engineer, Android

What you'll do

• Lead engineering efforts by defining outcomes, refining processes, and providing technical advice to senior leaders.
• Act as an evangelist for technical standards, engineering best practices, and quality across the organization.
• Own the end-to-end design, implementation, and operational excellence of software components.
• Contribute to the technical engineering roadmap by assessing implementation alternatives and recommending tradeoffs.
• Oversee team-level processes including code and design reviews to ensure timely and operable solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to resolve technical inquiries and provide leadership with limited guidance.
• Communicate complex technical topics to diverse stakeholders including product, support, finance, and legal teams.
• Mentor and develop software engineers while promoting high-quality coding standards.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of experience in Mobile Development.
• Experience developing and maintaining consumer-facing mobile applications at scale.
• Strong Kotlin skills and knowledge of multi-threaded, asynchronous code.
• Deep understanding of consuming GraphQL and REST APIs from mobile applications.
• Strong knowledge of common design patterns, algorithms, and object-oriented programming, specifically MVC and MVVM.
• Strong understanding of testing best practices and familiarity with at least one mobile testing framework.
• Skilled at writing Unit and Automation tests.
