What you'll do

Design, implement, and maintain embedded Python runtime integration within a C++ engine environment.
Own the development of the Alteryx Python Tool including C++ plugin engines and process lifecycles.
Develop and troubleshoot SDK engine components using gRPC-based plugins and streaming pipelines in C++.
Debug complex native/runtime issues involving DLL conflicts, OpenSSL, and other native libraries across multiple Python versions.
Lead modernization of virtualenv management, installer packaging, and native DLL exports.
Maintain and extend native compiled Python extensions to ensure compatibility with modern NumPy and CPython ABIs.
Collaborate with security teams to remediate native library vulnerabilities and maintain a healthy SBOM.
Mentor other engineers on best practices for native-Python interoperability and cross-language debugging.

What we're looking for

Must have at least 3 years of experience in Python and C++ design, development, and debugging.
Ability to integrate embedded Python runtimes into a predominantly C++ engine environment.
Experience developing and troubleshooting SDK engine components using gRPC-based plugins and streaming pipelines.
Proficiency in resolving complex native/runtime issues involving DLL/.pyd conflicts and OpenSSL libraries.
Experience with modern Python extension maintenance, including NumPy/CPython ABIs and installer packaging.
Ability to maintain CI/CD pipelines and code-quality tooling for C++/Python hybrid repositories.
Must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or possess equivalent experience.
