What you'll do

Lead the design, development, and testing of software applications for Abbott Cancer Diagnostics.
Troubleshoot and fix bugs for major software applications while breaking down complex tasks independently.
Initiate and review independent designs that influence the department’s delivery and technical approach.
Make significant project decisions by selecting methods and techniques based on business strategy.
Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Communicate clear project plans, designs, and status updates to business stakeholders.
Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Engineering.
High School Diploma/General Education Degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
Complete knowledge of software development design and development with relevant domain-specific skills.
Significant experience with object-oriented programming.
Experience with RESTful web services, Relational Databases (Postgres, SQL Server), and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate, Entity Framework).
Experience designing and developing apps that utilize cloud-based frameworks like Azure or Amazon AWS.
Proficiency in C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL, PL/SQL, .NET, and Google Web Toolkit.
Authorized to work in the country where work will be performed on a full or part-time basis.
