Senior Software Development Engineer, Ruby on Rails/Java

What you'll do

• Build large consumer-facing products using Ruby or Java/Kotlin.
• Develop cloud-native scalable microservices in distributed environments using Azure or AWS.
• Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding productivity.
• Manage and interact with databases including MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Use observability and telemetry data to inform technical decision-making.
• Implement full-stack development patterns using modern front-end technologies like React and TypeScript.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of experience building large consumer-facing products using Ruby or Java/Kotlin.
• Experience working in a distributed, cloud-based environment using Azure/AWS with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Experience building cloud-native scalable Microservices.
• Experience working with MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
• Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment.
• US work authorization.
• Bachelor degree in CS or relevant degree/work experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with Ruby, GraphQL, AWS DevOps, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB (preferred).
• Experience with modern front-end technologies like React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS/JavaScript and full-stack patterns (preferred).
• Strong understanding of observability and using telemetry to inform decision making (preferred).
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change requirements (preferred).
