Senior Security Incident Response Engineer

What you'll do

• Own security incidents end-to-end by analyzing events, establishing root causes, and making containment decisions.
• Drive complex, ambiguous investigations to resolution with minimal guidance.
• Mentor and coach less experienced responders to improve investigative quality across the function.
• Convert one-off investigations into durable capabilities like detections, reusable processes, and automations.
• Analyze large-scale datasets and raw telemetry to scope incidents and surface risks under pressure.
• Partner with various organizational units to serve as a technical advisor on security posture and response.
• Coordinate with a distributed global team to manage security priorities across different time zones.

What we're looking for

• Hold a B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar degree.
• Have 5+ years of experience in Information Security with a focus on Incident Response, Security Engineering, and/or Intrusion Detection.
• Demonstrate the ability to drive investigations independently, including testing hypotheses and establishing root causes.
• Demonstrate experience mentoring and coaching other responders to improve team performance.
• Possess a strong understanding of incident response automation strategies and a track record of implementation.
• Maintain proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages.
• Possess technical certifications such as OSCP, GIAC, CCNP/CCIE, or similar (preferred).
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to brief audiences with varying levels of technical context (preferred).
