Senior Security Incident Response Engineer

What you'll do

• Own security incidents end-to-end by analyzing events, establishing root causes, and making containment decisions.
• Mentor and coach less experienced responders to improve the overall quality of team investigations.
• Convert one-off investigations into durable capabilities like detections, reusable processes, and automations.
• Analyze large-scale raw telemetry and data sources to scope incidents and surface risks under pressure.
• Serve as a technical advisor to various organizational units to strengthen security posture and processes.
• Coordinate with a global, distributed team to identify and mitigate security threats across time zones.

What we're looking for

• Hold a B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar degree.
• Have 5+ years of experience in Information Security with a focus on Incident Response, Security Engineering, and/or Intrusion Detection.
• Demonstrate the ability to drive investigations independently by testing hypotheses, establishing root cause, and applying remediation strategies.
• Demonstrate experience mentoring and coaching other responders to measurably improve the work of those around you.
• Possess a strong understanding of incident response automation strategies with a track record of implementation.
• Maintain proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages.
• Technical certifications such as OSCP, GIAC, or CCNP/CCIE are a plus (preferred).
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to brief audiences with varying levels of technical context (preferred).
