Senior Scientist, MR R&D Collaborations

What you'll do

• Act as the primary on-site point of contact for academic partners and internal Siemens teams.
• Identify, develop, and manage strategic research projects and partnership grants with academic institutions.
• Drive the development of novel MR pulse sequences and image reconstruction techniques.
• Develop and release high-quality source code prototypes for new clinical and research features.
• Conduct original research to generate patent applications and publish results in peer-reviewed journals.
• Integrate innovative techniques into medical device products while maintaining and debugging existing codebases.
• Translate technical and clinical knowledge into marketing content, abstracts, and educational materials.

What we're looking for

• Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Physics, Imaging Physics, or equivalent.
• Strong background in MR physics, pulse sequence design, and clinical applications of MR imaging techniques.
• Substantial experience in C++/C software design, implementation, and coding.
• Experience using MATLAB for signal and image processing.
• At least 2 years of relevant clinical and research MRI experience on the Siemens MRI platform.
• Prior experience working on Siemens MR systems in pulse sequence design and image reconstruction (preferred).
• Exceptional communication skills across writing, presentation, and verbal formats.
