Senior Quality Engineer

What you'll do

• Build and maintain scalable end-to-end automation regression suites for APIs, microservices, and distributed backend systems.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines including pre-merge validation and environment readiness checks.
• Improve test reliability by reducing flakiness and optimizing suite performance for high signal-to-noise ratios.
• Generate standardized test reports to provide actionable feedback and diagnostic data to the development team.
• Investigate failures across services and infrastructure to perform root-cause analysis on product defects versus environment issues.
• Define quality gates, release criteria, and automation standards in partnership with SRE, Security, and Product teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for test plans, scripts, and results to ensure engineering excellence.
• Advise the development team on best practices for testing frameworks and techniques throughout the product lifecycle.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience working on or with a software engineering team.
• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining automated tests for web applications and distributed systems.
• Experience with end-to-end and API test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Jest, or TestNG.
• Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD systems using Git-based workflows.
• Deep knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, including TLS/SSL handshake, certificate management, and status codes.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries to validate data persistence across relational databases like Oracle.
