Senior Principal Cyber Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead the design, implementation, and administration of Windows domain infrastructure for classified environments.
• Manage VMware vSphere clusters, ESXi hosts, and Horizon VDI pools including upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Apply DISA STIGs and CIS Benchmarks to harden Windows, Linux, and virtualized infrastructure.
• Develop and execute automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline administrative tasks.
• Administer Active Directory services including DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects to enforce security controls.
• Coordinate patch management cycles and provide 24/7 on-call support for critical infrastructure.
• Create and maintain Windows and Linux virtual machine gold images for enterprise deployment.
• Document system architectures, procedures, and configuration standards for enterprise environments.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field plus 8 years of experience, Master's plus 6 years, Associate's plus 12 years, or 15+ years of equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on Windows Server and Active Directory administration including DNS, GPO, and domain controller management.
• 3+ years of VMware vSphere and/or Horizon administration including ESXi host management and VDI pool management.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX system administration including RHEL, CentOS, user management, and bash scripting.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAM Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, CASP+/SecurityX, CISSP, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience applying DISA STIGs and security hardening to Windows, Linux, and virtualized infrastructure.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python.
• US Citizenship and a current/active U.S. Government Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS.
