What you'll do

  • Lead the design and implementation of HVAC control systems for complex industrial facilities.
  • Develop detailed drawings, documentation, and reports for mechanical engineering projects.
  • Perform necessary calculations for HVAC and piping designs to ensure system efficiency.
  • Manage construction contracts and coordinate with multi-discipline contractor teams.
  • Resolve real-time conflicts in the field related to controls integration and troubleshooting.
  • Drive coordination for obtaining local, state, and federal permits for building and mechanical projects.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in HVAC and facility infrastructure design/build
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • Expertise in HVAC controls system architecture, programming, and implementation
  • Proficiency with building automation platforms and control communication protocols
  • Experience managing construction projects including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor coordination
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as ASHRAE, NEC, IBC, and California Building Code
