As a Sr. Manager/Director of Engineering Strategy & Operations at Salesforce, you will lead budget management and operational excellence initiatives across Platform Engineering’s global footprint, partnering with engineering leaders to align strategic priorities with execution. You’ll drive financial and program operations by managing budgets, forecasting spend, and optimizing resource allocation while building scalable operating models that enhance knowledge sharing and cross-cloud collaboration. This role requires deep expertise in SaaS product development, software development lifecycles, and agile methodologies, alongside strong financial literacy and analytical skills to measure success metrics and refine strategies continuously. Ideal candidates have experience with cloud economics, public cloud infrastructure, and emerging technologies, as well as a track record of influencing senior executives and managing complex, enterprise-scale environments effectively.
Drive strategic alignment by translating company strategy into actionable operating plans for engineering.

What we're looking for
8+ years of experience in engineering management or technical program management within an enterprise technology environment.
Proven track record leading SaaS product development programs with deep understanding of the SaaS business model and product lifecycle.
Strong financial literacy, including budgeting, P&L concepts, and managing complex data sets.
Deep knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies in fast-paced environments.
Exceptional analytical skills and ability to establish credibility with senior executives and influence across engineering, product, and customer organizations.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills in a matrixed environment.
