TL;DR · Senior Manager, Cyber Threat Research & Intelligence

As the Sr. Manager, Cyber Threat Research & Intelligence, you will lead a senior team of researchers to predict, identify, and respond to an evolving threat environment. You will oversee the full intelligence lifecycle, transforming raw data into tactical, operational, and strategic insights to inform executive decision-making and defensive operations. Key responsibilities include managing a threat actor tracking program for APT groups and cyber criminal organizations while producing reports featuring IOCs, TTPs, YARA/Sigma rules, and campaign analyses. You will utilize structured analytic techniques like the Diamond Model and MITRE ATT&CK to operationalize intelligence through SIEM, SOAR, and TIP integrations. The role requires expertise in OSINT, dark web monitoring, and malware analysis to defend against advanced threat actors by converting complex technical data into actionable narratives that drive security investments and proactive defense strategies.

What you'll do

  • Develop and lead the strategic vision for the Cyber Threat Research & Intelligence program across tactical, operational, and strategic levels.
  • Manage a team of threat intelligence researchers through coaching, technical mentorship, and career development.
  • Oversee the full intelligence lifecycle including collection, processing, analysis, production, and dissemination of actionable data.
  • Maintain a comprehensive threat actor tracking program for APT groups, cyber criminal organizations, and hacktivists.
  • Produce diverse intelligence products such as IOCs, TTPs, campaign analyses, and executive strategic briefings.
  • Partner with internal security teams to inform defensive operations, detection engineering, and incident response efforts.
  • Manage relationships with external communities, including ISACs, government partners, and commercial threat intelligence providers.
  • Brief senior leadership on the evolving threat landscape, emerging risks, and program outcomes.

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity with leadership in threat intelligence or research functions.
  • Expertise in the full intelligence lifecycle including collection management, all-source analysis, and structured analytic techniques like ACH, Kill Chain, Diamond Model, and MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Proven ability to develop and present tactical, operational, and strategic intelligence reports for technical and executive audiences.
  • Deep understanding of threat actor ecosystems, including nation-state groups, eCrime actors, and insider threats.
  • Experience operationalizing threat intelligence through SIEM, SOAR, and TIP integrations to create detection logic and defensive controls.
  • Familiarity with diverse collection sources such as OSINT, dark web monitoring, malware analysis, and commercial feeds.
  • Demonstrated success in building partnerships across internal security teams and external government or industry partners.
  • Experience maturing cybersecurity programs including intelligence requirements processes, metrics frameworks, and team operating models.
