Senior Embedded Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop software for custom hardware deployed on millions of devices worldwide.
• Write Linux-based software for common processors and microcontrollers like ARM and RISC V.
• Design and implement fault-tolerant consumer devices and gateways with minimal maintenance requirements.
• Create infrastructure and tools for rapid, reliable code deployment to global customers.
• Develop a scalable telemetry system capable of handling trillions of data points from millions of devices.
• Build robust systems resistant to adversarial attacks.
• Develop prototypes to prove design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
• Create automated tools for continuous integration, test execution, and data analysis.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a STEM discipline and 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
• 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree.
• Development experience in C, C++, Golang, Python, or Rust.
• Experience with embedded or low level systems development.
• Developed, debugged, and deployed software that has been used in real world embedded devices (preferred).
• Creative approach to problem solving, exceptional analytical skills, and engineering fundamentals (preferred).
• Solid fundamental knowledge of networking protocols, electronics, math, physics, and radio frequency (preferred).
• Strong skills in debugging, performance optimization, testing, and security issues for distributed systems (preferred).
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
