As a Senior Director at Pfizer's Digital Infrastructure & Cloud team, you will lead transformational cloud and infrastructure initiatives that enable breakthrough science and drug discovery. Your day-to-day responsibilities include providing strategic guidance to a team of 3-5 Directors and Senior Managers, driving multi-cloud, data center migration, and network transformation projects, and making high-impact architectural decisions. You must have deep expertise in AWS, Azure, GCP, and hands-on experience building production platforms at scale, along with proficiency in modern cloud-native architectures, IaC tools like Terraform/OpenTofu, DevOps practices, automation, and security/compliance in regulated industries. This role requires extensive experience managing senior technical leaders and leading through influence in a matrixed organization while ensuring Pfizer continues to leverage cloud-native design patterns at enterprise scale.
Lead enterprise cloud and infrastructure transformation initiatives, including AI/ML platforms.
Drive execution of multi-cloud, data center migration, and network transformation projects.
Make high-impact architectural decisions for Pfizer's cloud-native design patterns.
Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to senior technical leaders and teams.
Partner with security, digital, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
Over 12 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, and networking transformations
Deep expertise in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) with hands-on production platform experience
Proven ability to manage and develop senior technical leaders within a matrixed organization
Comprehensive understanding of modern cloud-native architectures and DevOps practices
Strong communication skills for translating technical complexity to diverse audiences
Demonstrated success in delivering results while managing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
