Sr Staff Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Lead modernization and scalability of GitHub Enterprise infrastructure to enhance developer productivity.
• Design and implement config-as-code solutions using Terraform for managing GitHub environments at scale.
• Optimize and administer GitHub Enterprise environment to ensure reliability and performance for engineering teams.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-powered development tools in GitHub to improve code quality and efficiency.
• Develop and promote best practices for source control management and repository workflows across the organization.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to establish governance policies for GitHub platform automation.
• Provide technical guidance and training on new GitHub capabilities to facilitate effective adoption by engineering teams.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with focus on build engineering, CI/CD, and platform administration.
• Extensive hands-on experience administering GitHub Enterprise Server in production environments.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform for managing platform configurations declaratively.
• Deep expertise in Git and source control best practices, guiding large organizations through workflow improvements.
• Experience leading complex multi-team projects with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Passionate about developer experience, simplifying workflows using modern CI/CD tools.
