Sr. Digital Twin Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop simulation logic and behavioral models for machine and system behavior.
• Create high-fidelity 3D models, scenes, and environments using NVIDIA Omniverse.
• Validate and test digital twins to ensure accuracy and numerical stability.
• Integrate simulation components with Caterpillar’s data systems and digital twin frameworks.
• Contribute to toolchain and pipeline design for automated testing and modular code libraries.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience in digital twin or simulation development with high-fidelity modeling and real-time visualization.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python for developing and integrating simulation components.
• Experience with NVIDIA Omniverse, including USD workflows, PhysX, and pipeline development.
• Knowledge of validation techniques such as test data correlation and scenario-based testing.
• Hands-on experience with multiple digital twin platforms like Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Ability to evaluate emerging tools and frameworks for expanding simulation capabilities.
