Senior Consultant, Data Architect

What you'll do

• Lead discovery sessions with clients to translate business goals into production-ready data platform architectures.
• Design platform topology, security models, governance, and cost/performance architectures for cloud data environments.
• Create layered data models and semantic layers to support BI, application, and AI consumption.
• Select and document integration patterns for batch, streaming, and API data movements.
• Establish engineering standards for CI/CD, coding practices, and peer reviews using dbt or similar frameworks.
• Architect integrations between data platforms and cloud services like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Own technical delivery by decomposing architectures into workstreams and monitoring pipeline SLAs.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical direction while serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Master's degree (preferred).
• 8+ years in data engineering, data warehousing, or solution architecture, including 2+ years as a lead architect on enterprise data platform engagements.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake or Databricks.
• Experience in client-facing consulting, including leading discovery and design sessions with technical and business stakeholders.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in ELT/orchestration tools like dbt, Airflow, or Matillion.
• Experience designing platforms for AI/ML workloads, including feature/vector data and LLM integration.
