The engineer will create dynamic models of vehicle aerodynamics, propulsion, hardware, actuators, and sensor systems, while designing controllers to meet stability requirements and integrating multi-sensor feedback for state estimation. Key technical requirements include proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and C/C++, along with experience in Kalman filtering, rigid body dynamics, and trade studies. The role focuses on solving complex navigation and tracking problems across various vehicle types and mission profiles while ensuring system robustness through rigorous analysis and performance evaluation.
Develop and evaluate guidance, navigation, and control algorithms to meet vehicle performance requirements.
Build high-fidelity simulations and dynamic models of aerodynamics, propulsion, hardware, and sensor systems.
Implement software prototypes and develop tools for advanced GNC applications using MATLAB, Simulink, and C/C++.
Integrate multi-sensor feedback to support navigation, tracking, and state estimation solutions.
Perform root-cause analysis on system anomalies and develop corresponding corrective actions.
Assess system performance, robustness, and sensitivity through rigorous analysis and testing.
Create technical standards, tools, and reusable resources to improve GNC organizational processes.
Communicate design, analysis, and test results clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and 4 years of experience, or a Master’s degree and 2 years of experience, or 8 years of experience without a degree.
Active US secret security clearance.
Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++.
Demonstrated technical competency in at least one GNC discipline such as guidance, navigation, control theory, tracking, or state estimation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Advanced degree in a related engineering field (preferred).
Technical competency in multiple GNC disciplines (preferred).
