Specialist, Data Engineer - SQL and Snowflake will join the NF Data Warehouse/Lakehouse team within Digital Back Office. The successful candidate will acquire, curate, and publish data for both analytical and operational use cases while helping to shape the future of the data ecosystem. Key responsibilities include driving data integration efforts across platforms using a modern Snowflake based data Lakehouse. Required technical skills include proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, and ETL/ELT processes using Python. Candidates must also demonstrate experience in Lean, Agile, DevOps, and Cloud hosting environments while applying secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.

What you'll do

  • Develop, test, debug, and deploy software applications according to industry standards and best practices.
  • Manage data integration across various financial products using a Snowflake-based data Lakehouse.
  • Acquire, curate, and publish data for both analytical and operational use cases.
  • Execute ETL/ELT processes using SQL and Python to support data solutions.
  • Apply secure software engineering practices and DevSecOps tooling to protect data from vulnerabilities.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables proactively within an agile environment.
  • Provide technical guidance to other team members on software and data solutions.

What we're looking for

  • Completion of undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or related degrees, or equivalent technology experience.
  • Four or more years of software engineering, analysis, or related technology experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Strong proficiency in Snowflake or an equivalent platform.
  • Experience in ETL/ELT processes including Python.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Experience working in Lean, Agile, DevOps, and Cloud hosting environments.
  • Work authorization.
