The Software & Tools Engineering Project Manager joins the Hardware Engineering team to oversee the development of internal software applications. This role is responsible for end-to-end project delivery, including tracking milestones, managing risks, and creating actionable plans from complex requirements. You will act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and software engineering teams, coordinating with design, quality assurance, and partner teams to align on product vision and feature prioritization. Key responsibilities include leading large-scale programs through full lifecycles, optimizing processes, and managing dependencies across distributed teams. The role requires expertise in Agile methodologies, project management certifications like PMP or CSM, and proficiency with tools such as Wrike, Jira, and Confluence. You will also analyze software development metrics to improve delivery outcomes while navigating complex stakeholder dynamics and technical requirements.
Manage the full lifecycle of internal software application development from initial strategy through post-launch support.
Translate complex, ambiguous requirements into actionable project plans and clear roadmaps for engineering teams.
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to prioritize features and align on product vision.
Identify potential timeline risks proactively and develop formal mitigation plans for executive leadership.
Track progress against milestones while managing cross-functional dependencies, resources, and documentation.
Resolve conflicts across engineering, design, and QA functions to maintain project momentum.
Optimize PMO processes and implement Agile methodologies to improve execution quality and delivery outcomes.
Analyze software development metrics to drive informed decision-making and process improvements.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
5+ years of program or project management experience in a complex, cross-functional environment.
Proven ability to manage web-based application projects through the full lifecycle with strong planning and process optimization skills.
Tactical experience implementing projects using Agile methodologies across distributed teams.
Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and resolve conflicts across engineering and design functions.
Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
7-10+ years of program or project management experience in a complex, cross-functional environment (preferred); PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent certification (preferred).
