What you'll do

Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and system services on bare-metal servers and virtual machines.
Support physical hardware setup, server racking, and network cabling in local development and integration labs.
Assist with configuring, prototyping, and deploying a new containerized environment to replace existing infrastructure.
Monitor system health and troubleshoot infrastructure anomalies and performance bottlenecks.
Write and update shell scripts using Python or Bash to automate routine deployment and configuration tasks.
Test environment setups to ensure the stability of the foundational IT and virtual infrastructure.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Must have a preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher.
Must have foundational familiarity with Linux-based operating systems, including command-line navigation, package management, and user permissions.
Must have exposure to scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
Must have a basic understanding of version control systems like Git.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, virtualization platforms, or networking knowledge is preferred.
