As a Software Engineering Intern, you will join the engineering organization to apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis principles toward developing software for target applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional team members to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software while addressing operational performance requirements and system design. Your daily responsibilities include participating in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment. You will also develop test procedures, utilize modeling tools to establish operating data, and perform peer reviews to track and repair defects. The role involves utilizing languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, Ajax, and Qt on various platforms including Windows, Linux, and real-time operating systems like VxWorks and QNX.

What we're looking for
Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field at an accredited university.
Ability to apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts in software development.
Experience with various programming languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, Ajax, or Qt.
Familiarity with Windows, Linux, mobile platforms, and embedded real-time operating systems (preferred).
Knowledge of technologies including .NET, SOA, Real-Time Controls, Wireless, Software Security, Robotics, OOA/OOD, Hadoop, Android, or Embedded Systems (preferred).
Ability to participate in all phases of the software development life cycle for embedded software.
Ability to develop test procedures, programs, and documentation while identifying and repairing defects.
Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain a security clearance.
