JOB TITLE: Software QA Engineer, Fitness Watch Software, Sensing & Connectivity The watchOS QA team is seeking a Software QA Engineer to ensure the quality of watchOS and iOS applications. In this role, you will own the end-to-end quality of the Workout app, designing and executing test plans that cover real-world user journeys from workout selection through completion. Daily responsibilities include functional testing across concurrent release vectors, risk analysis, cross-functional testing coordination, and integration testing. You will monitor daily build health, identify regressions, and develop manual test coverage for sensor-driven metrics and edge cases. The position requires expertise in developing test strategies, writing test plans, and creating custom tools. You will solve technical problems related to fitness and workout tracking software, ensuring high-quality performance for users across the watchOS and iOS ecosystems.

What you'll do

Design and execute test plans for the Workout app across watchOS and iOS.
Perform functional testing of iOS and watchOS applications across concurrent release vectors.
Monitor daily build health to identify and report regressions and new defects.
Develop and maintain manual test coverage for new features, sensor-driven metrics, and edge cases.
Conduct risk analysis and integration testing across the entire system.
Coordinate cross-functional testing efforts with engineering and other internal organizations.
Provide go/no-go recommendations for releases based on bug trends and build stability.

What we're looking for

BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
Proven experience in Software Quality Assurance for at least 3 years.
Experience developing test strategies, including writing test plans, test cases, custom tools, and testing architectures.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with engineering teams, management, and other organizations.
Ability to lift equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
Passion for debugging difficult problems and driving results with multi-functional teams.
Enthusiasm for customer-focused design, high-quality technology, and fitness tracking applications (preferred).
Creative thinker who is highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable in a dynamic atmosphere (preferred).
