Software Intern

What you'll do

• Apply classroom learning to solve real-world technical challenges during a 12-week internship.
• Execute "big meaty projects" that contribute to HP's technology solutions and services.
• Develop software using languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, or JavaScript.
• Build and maintain APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure across various platforms.
• Perform software testing, debugging, and quality assurance to ensure high-quality code.
• Create and deliver executive-level presentations including storyboarding and data visualization.
• Manage technical projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies and Jira.
• Analyze data and develop machine learning models to drive business outcomes.

What we're looking for

• Must be currently enrolled full-time at an accredited university.
• Must have completed the 3rd year of a Bachelor's degree or the 1st year of a Master's program.
• Preferred majors include Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, Data Science, or Cybersecurity.
• Project experience demonstrating strong analytical, modeling, and research skills (preferred).
• Strong executive-level presentation skills including storyboarding, development, and delivery (preferred).
• Demonstrable success in delivering results in a cross-functional team setting (preferred).
• Working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and MS Excel (preferred).
