As a Software Engineering Technical Leader, Front-End — Cisco CX Engineering, you will join the front-end engineering team to build the user-facing platform for Cisco IQ, an enterprise-grade product used to manage and derive insights from a customer's install base. You will define technical direction, provide architectural guidance, and mentor engineers while overseeing the end-to-end delivery of large features in collaboration with UX and backend teams. Your work involves developing shared component systems and metadata-driven UI frameworks while integrating AI-assisted development tools into daily workflows. The role requires expertise in TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES6+), and component-based frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue. You will utilize reactive state management patterns, manage Micro Front End architectures, and leverage AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor to solve complex problems within the digital ecosystem.
Define the technical direction for the front-end platform and provide architectural guidance to the team.
Lead the end-to-end delivery of medium-to-large features from initial design through production.
Mentor engineers through code reviews, design feedback, and hands-on technical coaching.
Integrate AI-assisted development tools into the daily workflow while ensuring high code quality standards.
Contribute to shared component systems and a metadata-driven UI framework.
Communicate architectural trade-offs and delivery decisions to cross-functional partners like UX and product management.
Optimize front-end performance and manage complex state using modern reactive patterns.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.
Experience building production web applications using TypeScript or modern JavaScript (ES6+) in a component-based framework.
Experience architecting and delivering large-scale web applications or multi-team front-end features.
Experience in front-end architecture principles including component-based design, state management, performance optimization, or design system integration.
Experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent.
Experience with reactive state management patterns at scale like signals-based reactivity, NgRx Signals, Redux, or MobX.
Experience helping a team adopt AI-assisted development tools effectively (preferred).
Experience with metadata-driven UI frameworks, Angular-specific expertise, and Micro Front End architectures (preferred).
