Software Engineering Manager, Simulation Platforms

What you'll do

• Grow, mentor, and scale the engineering team while fostering a high-performance culture.
• Partner with the Chief Engineer to define technical direction and modernize simulation architectures into modular systems.
• Manage project execution for the development of advanced aerospace and mission systems.
• Build and maintain relationships with government stakeholders in simulation environments and defense funding agencies.
• Collaborate with business development teams to identify new opportunities and evaluate technical feasibility.
• Lead the technical writing of proposals to expand the team's footprint within the defense sector.
• Participate in high-level system design reviews and evaluate critical architectural decisions.

What we're looking for

• Active U.S. Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
• 5+ years of experience managing software engineering teams including hiring and scaling talent.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience with a focus on systems architecture and API design.
• Experience developing, deploying, and testing software within secure, classified, or air-gapped environments.
• Experience writing technical proposals and scoping engineering work for government contracts.
• Proven ability to manage customer expectations and negotiate technical delivery paths with stakeholders.
• Preferred experience in modeling and simulation within the defense sector.
• Familiarity with modern defense acquisition, test, and innovation organizations.
