What you'll do

Manage, coach, and develop software engineers through performance reviews and career planning.
Lead the design, development, release, and production support of cloud services and data pipelines.
Own the team’s availability, performance, observability, and incident response protocols.
Review architecture and system designs while providing technical guidance to engineering leaders.
Establish standards for code reviews, automated testing, security, and release readiness.
Oversee REST APIs and data pipelines moving information from on-premises systems to the cloud.
Coordinate technical dependencies with product, cloud, data, security, and architecture teams.
Communicate progress, risks, and staffing needs to product and technology leadership.

What we're looking for

Candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of one of the specified office locations.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in software development is required.
At least 1 year of experience managing software engineers as direct reports is required.
Experience designing, building, and operating cloud-based software systems is required.
Experience reviewing architecture and system designs and providing technical guidance to engineering teams is required.
Experience supporting production systems, including availability, performance, observability, and incident response is required.
Experience developing REST APIs, distributed services, or data-intensive applications is required.
Experience developing software for financial institutions, using GCP and Golang, or building batch and streaming data pipelines is preferred.
