Software Engineer, Platform Engineering II

What you'll do

• Design, build, and operate services and automations to support Kubernetes clusters at scale.
• Write production code to maintain the health of distributed systems under heavy load.
• Perform code reviews and ensure high quality through unit and integration testing.
• Manage cloud configurations across AWS and Azure environments using Terraform infrastructure as code.
• Maintain observability coverage including metrics, alerts, and basic distributed tracing for data pipelines.
• Identify and report technical debt, bugs, and system issues to maintain engineering health.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to accelerate coding, testing, and debugging workflows.

What we're looking for

• Must have 1-2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building or operating backend services using Kubernetes is required.
• Practical experience with or a strong desire to learn AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code.
• Exposure to GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines is required.
• Working knowledge of at least one of Shell, Terraform, YAML, or Go (Golang) is required.
• Experience with cloud environments including AWS core services or Microsoft Azure equivalents.
• Basic familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform is required.
• Foundational understanding of distributed datastores, caching layers, or asynchronous event streaming.
