Software Engineer, Platform Engineering L2

What you'll do

• Design, build, and operate services and automations to support Kubernetes clusters at scale.
• Write production code for backend services to maintain healthy distributed systems under real load.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established testing standards for unit and integration tests.
• Support cloud configurations across AWS and Azure environments using Terraform Infrastructure as Code.
• Maintain observability coverage including metrics, alerts, and distributed tracing across core data pipelines.
• Identify and flag technical debt, bugs, and small-scale system issues to the engineering team.
• Use AI-assisted tooling to automate testing, support debugging workflows, and accelerate development.

What we're looking for

• 1-2+ years of professional software engineering experience including exposure to building or operating backend services using Kubernetes.
• Practical experience with, or a strong desire to learn, AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code.
• Exposure to GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Harness).
• Working knowledge of at least one of Shell, Terraform, YAML, or Go (Golang).
• Experience with cloud environments, ideally AWS core services (EC2, S3, EKS) or Microsoft Azure equivalents.
• Basic familiarity with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Foundational understanding of distributed datastores, caching layers, or asynchronous event streaming (e.g., Kafka).
• Solid computer science fundamentals and data structures knowledge.
