The Platform / Software Engineer joins the Solutions Delivery team to support the USCENTCOM J6 CITS program. As a broad-scope developer, you will design, build, test, and deploy automations, integrations, and applications across the enterprise toolset to reduce manual operational burdens. You will develop solutions involving scripting, workflow automation, APIs, and low-code tools while managing data movement across the mission stack. The role requires proficiency in Python, PowerShell, JavaScript/TypeScript, and C#, alongside experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, Logic Apps, and Microsoft Graph API. You will work within Git-based pipelines using GitLab to support CI/CD and DevSecOps practices. Technical environments include vSphere, ServiceNow, and containerized platforms like OpenShift and Kubernetes. This role addresses the challenge of transitioning programs toward a deliverable-based, automation-first model while operating within secure NIPR/SIPR networks.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, test, and deploy automations, integrations, and applications using scripting, APIs, and low-code solutions.
  • Automate manual Operations & Maintenance processes to reduce the operational burden on personnel.
  • Develop and integrate solutions across platforms including vSphere, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, and containerized environments like OpenShift.
  • Maintain code in Git-based pipelines while supporting CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
  • Integrate and reuse existing capabilities before developing new tools to rationalize the software environment.
  • Create technical documentation, release notes, and user guides to support solution handoff and adoption.
  • Comply with DoD security standards and data handling protocols within NIPR and SIPR environments.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess an active Secret clearance and be eligible for TS/SCI.
  • Must hold a DoD 8140 baseline certification, such as Security+.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in software development and/or automation engineering.
  • Proficiency in broad-scope software development using Python, PowerShell, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#.
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Logic Apps) and API integrations.
  • Familiarity with containerization, DevSecOps, and mission data platforms (preferred).
