Software Engineer III, SRE

What you'll do

• Lead design reviews and break down complex technical problems into manageable tasks for other engineers.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for team members.
• Use enterprise-authorized AI tools to accelerate reliability design, code generation, and operational decisioning.
• Act as the primary point of contact during major incidents to identify and resolve issues quickly.
• Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve overall system operational stability.
• Lead the adoption of AI-assisted reliability workflows across the software development life cycle.
• Proactively identify and solve technology-related bottlenecks within specific technical domains.
• Document and share technical knowledge through internal forums and communities of practice.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts plus 5 years of applied experience.
• Fluency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java Spring Boot, or .Net.
• Proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, toil reduction, and site reliability best practices.
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities and tools for software development, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and guiding peers on safe usage.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Experience with observability tools and telemetry collection such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Experience with troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues.
• Ability to identify and solve problems related to complex data structures and algorithms (preferred).
• Practical cloud native experience (preferred).
