Software Engineer III, SRE

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions for complex technical problems.
• Develop secure high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by others.
• Integrate enterprise-authorized AI tools to accelerate coding, refactoring, unit testing, and documentation.
• Act as the primary point of contact and lead responder during major system incidents.
• Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead the adoption of AI-assisted reliability workflows across the software development life cycle.
• Mentor other engineers and provide technical guidance on complex business and engineering issues.
• Document and share technical knowledge through internal forums and communities of practice.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 5 years of applied experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, toil reduction, and site reliability best practices.
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities and tools for coding, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity and secure handling of outputs.
• Fluency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java Spring Boot, or .Net.
• Experience with observability tools and telemetry collection like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
