Software Engineer III, AI/ML Developer

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software components to build secure, stable, and scalable technical products.
• Write high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Analyze large, diverse data sets to identify problems and inform decision-making for secure application development.
• Apply tools within the Software Development Life Cycle to enhance automation and improve overall development value.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning platforms or infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Python, ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn), and data tools (e.g., Spark, Pandas, SQL).
• Practical experience with cloud-based ML platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform, Azure ML) or on-prem ML infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
• Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, agile methodologies (CI/CD), and cloud-native technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or Snorkel AI (preferred).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), or RESTful APIs (preferred).
