Software Engineer II

What you'll do

• Use AI development tools to analyze, refactor, and generate clean, secure, and testable code.
• Design, build, and maintain high-quality, scalable features while solving complex technical bugs independently.
• Evaluate AI-generated solutions and peer code for security compliance, performance, and object-oriented design best practices.
• Build and maintain scalable RESTful APIs while integrating complex third-party services like payment gateways.
• Assist in the technical implementation of products for clients by resolving complex technical requests.
• Drive continuous improvement across the development lifecycle to streamline client workflows.
• Manage database performance and ensure strict FinTech security requirements are met during production.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience of 2-5 years.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (e.g., Java), data structures, system architecture, and PostgreSQL database design.
• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs with third-party service integrations.
• High comfort level using LLMs and AI coding assistants to navigate and transform complex codebases.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code for logic flaws, security vulnerabilities, and scalability.
• Experience with CI/CD processes including automated testing and security scanning in pipelines like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience in FinTech, EdTech, or the payment industry is preferred.
