Software Engineer Fullstack / Backend II (Full Time) joins the Control Plane organization to build a foundational, self-service automated platform for internal engineering teams. This role involves architecting developer tools and abstractions to manage infrastructure across multi-cloud environments including AWS, GCP, Azure, and GovCloud. The engineer will develop and integrate AI-powered tools into workflows to automate configuration changes and optimize continuous delivery pipelines while managing production systems through telemetry tuning and on-call rotations. Required technical skills include proficiency in Go, Python, or Ruby, along with experience in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or CloudFormation. The role also requires knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed systems concepts like concurrency control and consistency models to solve complex infrastructure challenges within a FedRAMP compliant environment for enterprise-scale observability and security services.
Maintain services within a FedRAMP compliant environment across multi-cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Architect self-service developer tools and abstractions to enable internal teams to manage infrastructure without bottlenecks.
Deploy and monitor production systems while tuning telemetry, metrics, and alerting for operational excellence.
Participate in on-call rotations to diagnose complex system anomalies and resolve production incidents.
Identify root causes of system failures to improve long-term reliability.
Build and integrate AI-powered tools into engineering workflows to automate configuration changes.
Optimize continuous delivery pipelines using automation tooling and infrastructure as code.
What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. citizen to work in a FedRAMP compliant environment.
Must possess a relevant degree (Master's, Bachelor's, or Associate's/Certification) combined with the required years of experience based on education level.
Degree or experience must be in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
Demonstrated proficiency writing software, data structures, and algorithms in at least one modern programming language like Go, Python, or Ruby.
Hands-on experience building, deploying, or managing cloud infrastructure across major providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or automation tooling like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or CloudFormation.
Practical experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes orchestration including command-line tooling (preferred).
Knowledge of distributed systems, CI/CD pipelines, system observability, and experience with generative AI tools (preferred).
