JOB TITLE: Software Engineer - Data Solutions, AI & Data Platform (AiDP) The Software Engineer - Data Solutions, AI & Data Platform (AiDP) joins the Core Platform Engineering team to build the next generation of Applied Machine Learning Data Platforms. This role involves architecting scalable data processing systems, developing data engineering solutions, and creating self-service applications for business users. You will design complex pipelines for real-time and batch data, monitor existing software for errors, and refine system requirements with project managers. The position requires proficiency in Python, advanced SQL, PySpark, SparkSQL, Trino, Snowflake, Flink, and Java or Scala. You will work with Iceberg, Apache Kafka, and cloud technologies to handle multi-petabyte scale data. This work supports training and deploying inference models and running large-scale data analytics to prevent fraud and automate decisioning across various platforms.

What you'll do

Architect scalable data processing systems for real-time, near-real-time, and batch data pipelines.
Develop data engineering solutions using Python and advanced SQL.
Design complex data processing workflows for large-scale platforms using Snowflake and Apache Spark.
Build self-service data engineering applications for business users.
Write efficient code to develop software system testing and validation procedures.
Monitor existing software to correct errors and implement new functionality.
Confer with project managers to obtain and refine technical system requirements.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
4+ years of data engineering experience across data warehousing, big data, and analytics domains.
Deep understanding and experience working with high volume, high concurrency platforms.
Proficiency in writing Spark, Trino, Snowflake, Flink, Python, and SQL for large scale relational data warehouses and data lake platforms.
Experience designing data pipelines for structured and semi-structured data.
Experience with Iceberg or open table formats.
Ability to build scalable data engineering platform components in Python, Java, or Scala (preferred).
Experience with AI models, tools like Claude, distributed frameworks like Kafka, and large scale platform migrations (preferred).
