Software Engineer, Cybersecurity Services Internship

What you'll do

• Maintain backend microservices processes deployed via AWS Lambda and Fargate using Python.
• Design and build new microservices processes in support of strategic initiatives with the architecture team.
• Build and maintain web-based customer-facing UI features using React, JavaScript, and Python.
• Ingest and analyze large datasets to detect security anomalies through analytics.
• Support core security microservices within an event-driven architecture.
• Prototype, design, and implement software solutions in a team environment.
• Complete a dedicated engineering project to be presented at the end of the internship.

What we're looking for

• Must have a High School Diploma.
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a necessary security clearance.
• Must reside in a CST or EST time zone.
• Coursework or project experience in Python, JavaScript, and object-oriented software development using Git.
• Familiarity with Linux operating system environments and basic software development/troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of container services such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Demonstrable troubleshooting, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills in a team environment.
• Understanding of HTTP web servers, REST web service APIs, and how the internet works (preferred).
• Experience with single page application development, client-side graphing libraries, and test automation/TDD (preferred).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, secure development practices, and relational database design (preferred).
• Understanding of cloud fundamentals or hands-on experience in an AWS environment (preferred).
