What you'll do

Design, develop, and test data-center features for the Cisco 8000 Platform using the SONiC operating system.
Build and deliver both data plane and control plane software components.
Develop "forwarding" and "services" data plane feature sets including L2/L3 forwarding, ACLs, and QoS.
Write clean, maintainable code in C++ to develop core networking features.
Use Python to build automated test suites for kernel module validation.
Implement and support various networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, VxLAN, and EVPN.
Provide end-to-end product development and production support in a fast-paced environment.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree plus 7 years experience, Master's plus 4 years, or PhD plus 1 year of related experience.
At least 3 years of programming experience in C/C++.
At least 2 years of Python experience to build automated test suites for kernel module validation using frameworks like Pytest.
At least 2 years of experience with Linux.
Knowledge of Linux Kernel (preferred).
Knowledge of Open Standard Networking Systems and APIs such as SONiC and SAI (preferred).
Knowledge of networking protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, VxLAN, EVPN, and ACLs (preferred).
Experience using debugging tools like GDB or PDB and tools like GIT, Jira, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
