What you'll do

Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain production-quality backend software using Java or Go.
Build and improve services, APIs, libraries, and tooling for access-related workflows and platform capabilities.
Write clear, maintainable, and well-tested code while participating in active code and design reviews.
Debug production issues and perform root-cause analysis across various service boundaries.
Improve system reliability, observability, performance, security, and overall operational readiness.
Participate in team operations including monitoring and incident response for production services.
Create technical documentation, runbooks, engineering standards, and best practices for the team.
Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and simplify existing systems.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Software development experience with Java or Go as a primary programming language.
Strong understanding of core software engineering concepts including data structures, algorithms, APIs, testing, debugging, and version control.
Experience writing automated tests and diagnosing software defects.
Familiarity with distributed systems, backend services, cloud infrastructure, or similar production environments.
Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with other engineers.
Hands-on experience building production backend services and RESTful or RPC-based APIs (preferred).
Familiarity with authentication, authorization, identity, permissions, access-control concepts, cloud platforms, containers, CI/CD, and security principles (preferred).
