Software Engineer Apprentice
The Software Engineer Apprentice joins the Infrastructure & Technology team to develop foundational skills in software design, testing, and cloud computing within an agile environment. Working alongside experienced developers and mentors, the apprentice will progress through a personal skills roadmap, completing milestones to earn digital credentials while contributing to project teams as a full member of the organization. The role involves resolving customer issues, debugging environments, and building expertise in DevOps, continuous delivery, and IBM Design Thinking. Candidates should possess knowledge in at least one programming language, such as Java, JavaScript, PHP, C#, Objective-C, C/C++, Python, Ruby, or functional languages like Haskell, Scala, F#, or Clojure. The role also involves utilizing tools like Docker or Vagrant for container development and managing the development toolchain through systems like Travis, Jenkins, and Junit.

What we're looking for
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
An Associate's Degree or College Diploma is preferred.
Must possess basic knowledge in at least one programming language, such as Java, JavaScript, PHP, C#, Objective-C, C/C++, Python, Ruby, or functional languages.
Must be willing to complete the requirements of the apprenticeship program.
Must be able to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills.
Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in an agile team environment.
