What you'll do

Design and deliver backend services, APIs, workers, and shared libraries for cloud platform capabilities.
Build systems for orchestrating work, including job submission, execution tracking, retries, and status propagation.
Develop asynchronous and event-driven systems using queues, messaging, and durable state.
Manage distributed execution flows, including service-to-service communication, routing, and failure recovery.
Maintain cloud-native runtime infrastructure using containers, Kubernetes, and deployment automation.
Improve production reliability through metrics, tracing, structured logging, health checks, and alerting.
Write unit and integration tests to ensure the quality and security of platform capabilities.
Translate product requirements into incremental, testable, and operable platform features.

What we're looking for

2+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining production software or equivalent practical experience.
Experience building backend services, APIs, or background workers using TypeScript and Node.js (preferred).
Experience owning feature-level work with moderate ambiguity, including basic design of small-to-medium systems or APIs.
Understanding of asynchronous and distributed processing concepts such as task dependencies, state transitions, retries, and idempotency.
Experience with durable persistence, service integrations, and modern development and deployment practices.
Experience writing effective unit and integration tests while applying quality, reliability, and security practices.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
