Software Engineer, AI Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Design and operate services that sit in the critical path for engineering across Apple.
• Build and operate high-throughput, multi-region services for load shaping and capacity allocation.
• Implement large-scale cost controls and observability for AI infrastructure.
• Integrate security infrastructure into Apple’s production build system.
• Create security controls, detections, responses, and workflows across the organization.
• Solve complex security problems that lack established textbook solutions.
• Develop AI infrastructure and tooling to meet high reliability demands at Apple-scale.

What we're looking for

• BS/MS in Computer Science or 5+ years equivalent experience.
• Ability to demonstrate strong problem solving and logic in backend programming.
• Experience with building cloud services and distributed systems at scale.
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of cross-organizational projects.
• Excellent skills in Python or Go (preferred).
• Familiarity with LLMs and AI-assisted development tools (preferred).
• Familiarity with security architecture design and review (preferred).
• Effective communication of complex technical concepts (preferred).
