Software Engineer, AI Enablement

What you'll do

• Develop and extend internal AI platforms like Archimedes, Bosun, and easyRAG to support LLM-powered applications.
• Build reusable platform capabilities including APIs, SDKs, templates, and shared services for safe AI development.
• Prototype and productionize new AI features by turning successful patterns into durable platform components.
• Implement standard features that allow teams to launch AI assistants in a governed and observable way.
• Apply engineering practices for evaluation, observability, and cost management across all AI systems.
• Build safety guardrails for responsible AI development in partnership with Security, Risk, and Legal teams.
• Develop "golden path" patterns to ensure consistent, high-quality LLM usage across the organization.

What we're looking for

• Experience as a software engineer with a track record of shipping production-quality features in distributed systems or platform environments.
• Hands-on experience working with LLMs or ML services, or a demonstrated ability to ramp quickly into AI-specific tooling.
• Proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Ability to work across various interfaces including services, CLIs, and internal tools.
• A platform mindset focused on building reusable components for multiple consumers rather than just immediate problems.
• Familiarity with AI engineering concerns such as evaluation, prompt management, observability, cost control, safety, and data privacy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical tradeoffs to cross-functional partners.
