Software Engineer II Automation Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, script, test, and maintain automated solutions of moderate complexity and risk.
• Create comprehensive test plans and cases while defining necessary automation data across systems.
• Write technical documentation describing automation capabilities and standard operating procedures.
• Estimate project timelines, define tasks, and analyze costs for automation implementations.
• Analyze organizational needs to identify and assess new opportunities for automation solutions.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Mentor and cross-train junior engineers on the team.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Three to five years of relevant work experience with programming concepts, development logic, or automating complex processes.
• Hands on experience as an Automation Engineer (preferred).
• Experience writing and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript) (preferred).
• Good understanding of Java, JavaScript, and Python (preferred).
• Extensive experience in automation tools and frameworks including Maven, TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium, Appium, Jmeter, Karate, Postman, and Apigee (preferred).
• Extensive experience working in collaborative environments like GitLab or GitHub (preferred).
• Experience in mentoring and cross-training with engineers newer to the team (preferred).
