Software Development Manager, Device Services

What you'll do

• Manage and develop a nine-person team of software, systems, and production engineers across multiple sites.
• Establish predictable delivery through rigorous planning, prioritization, and incident management discipline.
• Oversee the operational health and reliability of shared device-testing infrastructure.
• Drive cross-team infrastructure programs by managing scope, dependencies, and partner coordination.
• Foster a collaborative team culture to reduce siloed work and eliminate single points of failure.
• Guide technical architectural trade-offs and coach senior engineers on system design.
• Represent the team to leadership and advocate for resources and needs with internal partners.

What we're looking for

• BS/MS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing software or systems engineering teams and developing engineers' careers.
• Strong technical foundation in distributed systems, infrastructure at scale, reliability, and fault tolerance.
• Proficiency in operational practices including CI/CD, monitoring, observability, and incident response.
• Ability to engage in system design, architecture, and technical trade-offs like APIs and security.
• Proven ability to manage heavy operational loads through planning, prioritization, and runbook discipline.
• Experience applying AI and LLM-based tools to improve engineering and operational workflows.
• Experience leading a portfolio of concurrent programs with complex cross-team dependencies.
