As a Software Development Engineering, Sr Advisor, you will serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert for the Vision NEXT platform, which provides cloud-native card issuing and payment processing solutions for LATAM partners. You will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of software applications while translating business requirements into scalable technical designs. Your daily responsibilities include defining quality gates for performance and security, establishing standards for API test automation using RestAssured, Karate, and Postman/Newman, and managing REST and event-driven integration patterns like RabbitMQ and webhooks. You will utilize Java, Spring Boot, SQL databases, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to build robust systems. The role requires expertise in microservices, API development, and real-time authorization capabilities within the financial services and payments domain.
Lead the architecture, design, development, and implementation of software for the Vision NEXT platform.
Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and author actionable technical specifications for development teams.
Establish formal quality gates for performance, security, and operational readiness across all software environments.
Set standards for API test automation and manage REST and event-driven integration patterns at scale.
Provide technical mentorship to engineers and serve as a subject matter expert for platform initiatives.
Communicate complex technical concepts to clients, executive leadership, and high-level stakeholders.
Influence technical roadmaps, solution strategies, and architectural decisions across multiple projects.
What we're looking for
12+ years of experience in software development, solution delivery, software architecture, or related technology disciplines.
7+ years of experience providing technical leadership, architecture guidance, or serving as a lead engineer on complex enterprise initiatives.
7+ years of hands-on experience with Java, C, C#, C++, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
7+ years of experience working with SQL databases and data management solutions.
3+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions utilizing AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
3+ years of experience working within Agile development environments and methodologies.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education/experience totaling 15+ years.
Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident and bilingual in either Spanish or Portuguese.
