Software Development Engineer, Security, Core OS

What you'll do

• Implement security patches in coordination with Product and System Security teams.
• Contribute to the software and hardware roadmap for new security features across multiple platforms.
• Audit security-critical code and hardware to review and implement necessary patches.
• Create tools to automate security verification and testing processes.
• Improve firmware architecture and APIs to integrate security into the core system.
• Deploy security mitigations specifically designed for embedded environments.
• Extend secure boot technologies in coordination with multi-functional teams.
• Collaborate with testing organizations to verify security features and fuzz for vulnerabilities.

What we're looking for

• Passion for embedded development and security.
• Understanding of software vulnerabilities and mitigations.
• Experience with secure boot and related cryptographic applications for platform security.
• Background in secure coding and code auditing.
• Direct experience in the overlap between software and hardware security, and firmware/software technologies (preferred).
• Familiarity with modern processor architecture (preferred).
• Experience designing and architecting systems with security in mind (preferred).
• Understanding of past, current, and emerging security exploit types (preferred).
• Experience in creating working proof of concepts from found vulnerabilities on systems with advanced anti-tamper (preferred).
• Exposure to kernel programming (preferred).
