Software Development Engineer in Test, Video Codec

What you'll do

• Design and develop tests for video processing frameworks and low-level software of video codecs across multiple platforms.
• Develop software tools to validate algorithms and code changes for image and video encoding, decoding, and post-processing.
• Architect test harnesses and implement automated test cases using C/C++, Objective-C, Swift, and Python.
• Automate workflows in testing and quality evaluation pipelines to ensure high-quality video experiences.
• Triage and root-cause failures while driving early test strategy and planning for video firmware and drivers.
• Build LLM-based tools and agentic workflows to automate testing pipelines at scale.
• Perform quality measurement and benchmarking for machine learning based technologies and video processing pipelines.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science degree and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• At least 6 years of programming experience in C/C++, Objective-C, Swift, and Python.
• At least 6 years of development experience on macOS or Unix/Linux platforms.
• Hands-on experience using LLMs in software development and building workflows with AI tools.
• Experience in test case development and software testing methodologies.
• Understanding of software engineering concepts and hands-on experience practicing CI/CD.
• Knowledge of video codecs, processing pipelines, and quality evaluation (preferred).
• Experience with advanced testing techniques like white-box, grey-box, or mutation testing (preferred).
