JOB TITLE: Software Developer/Configurator – OneStream/EPM Development
General Motors is seeking a Software Developer/Configurator to design, develop, test, and support OneStream and EPM applications. You will work across the full software development lifecycle to translate business and finance-planning requirements into technical designs and reliable software solutions. Daily responsibilities include writing, debugging, and optimizing production-quality code, building reusable frameworks, and investigating production defects. You will utilize C#, VB.NET, and VBA while applying object-oriented programming practices. The role requires experience with finance planning, consolidation processes, and enterprise performance management. Technical skills include knowledge of GitHub, Azure Databricks, Power BI, and SAP. You will collaborate with functional teams to deliver scalable customizations and integrations, ensuring high-quality software performance within a complex enterprise environment focused on planning and consolidation.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain OneStream applications and related software components.
Write, debug, and optimize production-quality code using C#, VB, and VB.NET.
Translate business and finance-planning requirements into technical designs and reliable software solutions.
Build reusable, flexible, and globally compatible frameworks to improve EPM solution scalability.
Investigate production defects to identify root causes and implement durable performance improvements.
Participate in the full development lifecycle including requirements analysis, code reviews, and documentation.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other developers on clean code and testing practices.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in STEM, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
5+ years of overall experience in planning development, software development, or a related technical discipline.
Professional software development experience with C# and VB.NET.
Working knowledge of software development fundamentals, including object-oriented design, coding standards, testing, troubleshooting, version control, and technical documentation.
Extensive knowledge of finance planning and consolidation processes.
Hands-on OneStream application development experience (preferred).
Experience with enterprise planning and EPM technologies such as OneStream, Oracle, Hyperion, or Essbase (preferred).
Experience delivering software enhancements, integrations, and customizations in OneStream or comparable EPM platforms (preferred).
